On September 4, 2025, St. Anthony’s Church in Papenburg welcomed Thierry Escaich, titular organist at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

As part of the Bremen Music Festival, Escaich performed works by Mendelssohn, Cochereau, Louis Vierne, and Stravinsky, as well as one of his own compositions, before delighting the audience at the end with improvisations on the two themes “Hejo, spann den Wagen an” and the North German song “Dat du min Leevsten büst.”
